This painting is from Collin Cessna’s recent solo exhibition at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Bedford, PA.
This plein air painting was created on March 12th 2023 along the Ala Wai Canal Fishery Management Area in Honolulu, Hawaii. The reflections of the buildings on the canal caught my eye and I wanted to capture the sunset of this view. The majority of the paints used were created by me for this painting.
"Honolulu Sunset" is an original casein painting on Canson Plein air board by Collin Cessna. This is a 12” x 16” painting set in a black frame.
The painting is signed on the lower right hand corner of the piece.
