“Nocturne Harford Road 1” May 11 Written By Collin Cessna I was driving around Parkville, MD at around 9:30 pm on May 11th when this scene caught my eye. The neon reflection in the puddle was a source of inspiration! I set up my easel and started roughing in the base layers of the painting. I used Golden brand acrylic paints to establish the darks of the painting. A link to the Golden brand acrylic set that I use can be found below:Acrylic Paint Set I worked on the painting for about 2.5 hours on the side of Harford Road before it became to dark to finish the painting. I decided to take the painting back to my studio and finish it inside. After several installments in my studio, the painting is now complete! I enjoyed working on this nocturne painting and I’m hoping to paint more night time urban scenes soon. Collin Cessna https://www.collincessnaartwork.com
